Patricia Marilyn Hite Sandidge Plymire, 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21st, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, service, and devotion to family. She was born on August 9, 1940, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Paul and Lucille Hite, and was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Pat graduated from Will Rogers High School and later attended CBI in Springfield, Missouri. It was in Springfield that her life of ministry and service deepened, shaping the path she would faithfully follow for decades.
Together with her first husband, the late Jerry L. Sandidge, Pat answered the call to serve as missionaries with the Assemblies of God. They pioneered a vibrant ministry to university students in Leuven, Belgium, known as University Action, touching many lives through their dedication and vision.
From 1988 to 1992, Pat had the privilege of serving alongside Jerry as co-pastor of Evangel Temple. Following Jerry’s passing in 1992, Pat began working as an administrative assistant in the Assemblies of God World Missions department, where her diligence and attention to detail were deeply valued. Years later in 1998, she married David Plymire, an Assemblies of God missionary to China, continuing her lifelong commitment to ministry.
Pat will be remembered for her steadfast faith, kind spirit, and unwavering commitment to serving others. Her life was marked by humility, compassion, and a deep love for Jesus and people.
She is survived by her husband David Plymire, her son Jay Sandidge, his wife Sarah, and her beloved grandchildren, Lula and Diesel, who brought her great pride and joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Lucille Hite; her brother, Don Hite; her stepmother, Sue Hite; and her first husband, Jerry Sandidge.
Pat’s life leaves a lasting imprint on all who knew her, and her legacy of faith and service will be remembered fondly.
