Patsy Ann Whisnant Handley
Born 2/17/47, Gainesville, MO to Hershel and Pauline Whisnant
United in Marriage 12/22/71 to Donald Wayne Handley.
In this home were raised 3 boys, Jayme, Doug and Steven Handley
Patti was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, (Billy and Joe)
She is survived by her husband of 41+ years, Sons- Jayme Handley, Doug Handley and wife Rosalynn, Steven Handley and wife Cheryl.
Patti had 5 grandchildren, Carri Eisenhauer, Tammi Creason, Mark Wells, Stacia Handley and Emma Handley. 5 great grandchildren, Tieylr and Kaleb Creason, Asa, Amaria, and Aliyah Wells, which she bragged on and doted on daily.
She has also left behind, 3 brothers, Bob Whisnant and wife Shirley, Gene Whisnant and wife Donna, and Jim Whisnant, 1 sister Barb Andrews and husband Tim, and their families, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Patti never forgot a birthday, she loved to cook and made plenty of cherry pies, yummy hot rolls, and at least one son will miss her broccoli casserole. She lived and breathed her 2 youngest granddaughters, while getting to watch them during the daytimes. She has helped granddaughters, 3 great nieces, and many other “kids” learn to read, cook and clean while doing childcare for the many children she has loved through the years. Patti had a good heart and will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Patti’s life will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial in Danforth Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday in the funeral home. Cremation Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
