Patsy DeRhon Coker-Bisbee of Paola, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at her home, after a brave battle with cancer, surrounded by her loved ones.. She was born August 9, 1949 in Clinton, Arkansas to Freemon and Ruby(Plumblee) Coker. She graduated from Bolivar High School in 1967, and then attended Lewis Clark State College.
She married Kenny Mann, in 1969, and to this union, four children were born. She was widowed by her second husband, Vaden Bisbee, in 2008.
Patsy enjoyed her fellowship at the Pentecostal Church of God and Grace Baptist Fellowship. She participated in the PLA’s, Bible study, and book clubs. Her hobbies included reading, crafts, sewing, cooking, gardening, and especially spending time with her family and 15 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Vaden Bisbee, and three brothers, JC Coker, Glen Coker, and Bill Honeycutt.
Patsy is survived by Bob and Wanda Honeycutt of Arkansas, Calvin and Clarice Coker of Bolivar, Freemon and Brenda Coker of Arizona, and Loyd Coker of Texas. She is also survived by her children, Troy and Veronica Mann of Bolivar, Don and Angelica Gray of Paola, KS, James Mann and family of Fair Grove, MO, Jeanette Mann and family of Bolivar, and her 15 grandchildren.
Funeral services for Patsy DeRhon Coker–Bisbee will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 18, in Pitts Chapel in Bolivar, MO with Pastor Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt View Cemetery in Polk, MO. Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 PM On Sunday in the chapel.
