Paul David Bethurem, age 48, of Republic, MO, passed away Monday, December 26, 2016 at Cox South Medical Center. He was born December 28, 1967, in Smithville, MO, to David and Cynthia (Arthur) Bethurem. Paul was united in marriage to Laura King on May 9, 2009. Paul worked for Milky Way Transportation Company for over twenty-five years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Paul was a man who enjoyed the outdoors, but the greatest love of his life was his wife, grand-daughter and family. He is preceded in death by his brother, Tom Bethurem. He is survived by his loving wife, Laura Bethurem Republic, MO; daughter and son in law Alisha and David Franklin; daughter Emily Colgan; grand-daughter Melody Leachelle Franklin and soon to be grandson Ezekiel David Franklin; his mother, Cynthia Bethurem of Springfield; his father, David Bethurem of Willard; one sister, Jennifer Williams of Springfield; and a host of family and friends.
A celebration of Paul’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 31, 2016, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, Springfield, MO. Burial will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens North National, Springfield, MO. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Memorial contributions may be made to the Missouri Department of Conservation. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home, Springfield.
