Paul Donald “Donnie” Ray

Paul Donald “Donnie” Ray, was born May 11th, 1940 in Springfield, Missouri to William and Vivian Ray.
Donnie served upon the USS Hornet from 1956-1958 in the VF121 Squadron Division as a VF121 Fighter Squadron Seaman Apprentice. He completed his training at the San Diego naval base in San Diego, California; he was in the naval reserves until 1965.
He married the love of his life, Rosanna D. Wiles, June 25th, 1960. They were happily married for 51 years. They were members of the motorcycle group “The Retreads XL Plus”, where they traveled all over the United States. They enjoyed the freedom they felt on the open road with their fellow riders and good friends.
He was a painter for over 50 years, a devoted family man, an accomplished cook, and one of the best story tellers to whoever would listen. He loved and cherished his family and kept them all close. One of his most favorite past-times was listening to his grandchildren sing and play music. One of his favorite songs was “Me and Bobbie McGhee” sang by his granddaughter, Sara.
Donnie is survived by his wife, Rosanna Ray of Pleasant Hope, MO.; Two daughters; Angela Hall and her husband, Danny and Cindy Boggs and her husband, Scott all of Pleasant Hope. Seven Grandchildren; Danny Hall and his wife Angelina of Fair Grove; Amanda Mobley and her husband, Dallas of Ash Grove; Randell Boggs and his wife, Clara of Buffalo; Sara Key of Pleasant Hope; Travis Boggs of Lacquey and Samantha Mustain and her husband, Brad of Brighton MO.
Four great-grandchildren; Maddie and Wyatt Mobley, Landon Hall and Colton Mustain.
Brothers, David Ray and Danny Ray of Springfield, MO. Donnie was proceeded in death by his Parents William and Vivian Ray, Grandson, Darrin Hall and and by his brothers and Sisters, Charlie, Richard, Jimmy, Jackie, Stella, Myrtle and Bobbie.
He had a host of other family and friends and was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
