Paula Jo Moore, 75, of Walnut Grove, Missouri, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2026, after a short illness, surrounded by the love of her family. While our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing she is in heaven with her loved ones who went before her.

Paula was born to Joe and Wanda Taylor (Knight) on April 30, 1951, in Springfield. She graduated from Hillcrest High School alongside the love of her life, Donnie. After knowing each other their entire lives, they were united in marriage on April 12, 1969. Paula and Donnie shared 57 wonderful years of marriage. Their love was like no other, a love people only dream of having.

Paula, affectionately known as “Nana” to so many, loved her grandbabies tremendously and was so very proud of each and every one of them. They were her whole world. She never missed an event if she could help it and was always there to cheer them on and support them in whatever they did. Her beautiful blue eyes, bright smile, and warm spirit could light up any room and turn even the darkest day into a better one. Nana had a special way of making everyone feel loved, welcomed, and important.

She loved camping, attending ballgames, tending to her flowers, shopping, enjoying anything sweet, taking cruises, visiting the beach, and spending time with her family, especially going to tackle shows across the country with her man. Her greatest joy in life was simply being surrounded by the people she loved.

Paula spent Wednesdays with her beloved “Crazy Sistas” making sleeping mats for the homeless. Together, they lovingly created hundreds of mats throughout the years, touching countless lives with their compassion and generosity. The friendships she shared and the memories she made with these wonderful ladies were extra special to her and brought her immense joy.

Paula has been reunited in Heaven with her parents; brother, Johnny; father-in-law, Wayne; mother-in-law, Kathryn; sister-in-law, Kathy Branson and husband, Chuck; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Cochran and husband, Garry; brother-in-law, Kelly; along with several other loved ones and dear friends.

She is survived by her husband, Donnie; their son, Mark; daughters, Michelle Moore and Stacie Eagleburger (Eric); grandchildren, Spencer Eagleburger (Tori), Cameron Pope (Riley), Emma Mahon (Austin), and Landon Moore; great-grandchildren, Krew Pope and Talayah Eagleburger;  sister, Julie Armstrong (Charlie); brother, Scott Taylor; brother-in-law DeWayne Moore (Kathy); brother-in-laws Kevin and Darren Moore; sister-in-law, Pepper Moore; special friend/bonus daughter, Tella Krausz; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and more friends than you could possibly count.

A visitation will be held on October 1, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield, Missouri, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow on a later date at Liberty Baptist Church.

Nana’s legacy of love, kindness, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family will live on in all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and an example of what it means to love others well.
