Pauline (McGrew) Gordon, age 97, of Springfield, Missouri passed away January 14, 2020. She was born December 31, 1922 in Fort Scott, Kansas to Maude and Thomas McGrew. Pauline and Dale Gordon were united in marriage May 2, 1944. To this union 3 children were born.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and baby Gene. Her sisters, Thelma Painter, Naomi McCord, Lela Witt, brother Jack McGrew, and grandson Russ Deckard.
She is survived by her sons Don Gordon, Kent Gordon and wife Rhonda. Sister Etta Curnutt and brother Dale McGrew. Grandchildren: Brian Gordon and wife Kim, Brett Gordon and wife Jessica, Katie Campbell and husband Michael, Eric Jackson and wife Erin, Heather Highfill and husband Clint, Keith Deckard and wife Kari. Greatgrandchildren: Mia, Brady, Isabelle, Adrienne, Avery, Landen, Logen.
Pauline was dedicated to her family, was quick to laugh and was known to never turn anyone away from her table.
Her family would like to thank the staff at the Manor at Elfindale; especially Jana, Bobby and Angela, and Integrity Hospice for the care and love they gave to Pauline and her family.
Graveside services will be at 3:00 pm, Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, with Rev. Terry Kendrick. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn South Funeral Home.
