Pauline Morey Napper, 98, of Springfield, Missouri passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013 in her home.
Pauline was born December 28, 1914 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Frank and Mable Morey. After moving to Springfield Pauline attended Rountree Elementary, Jarrett Junior High School, Senior High School and then Drury College where she was a member of PI BETA PHI fraternity. She was the last original member of the Birthday Club which was started back in the 1930’s. Pauline was a long time active member of the Regional Girls Shelter. She retired from Hickory Hills Junior High School as a Guidance Counselor in 1979 after 23 years of service.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents and a son Morey W. McDaniel.
She is survived by her husband James W.; 2 children her daughter Marianne McDaniel and her friend John and her son Stephen A. McGuire and his wife Tina. 2 grandchildren Kurt A. Knickmeyer and his wife Sharon and Weston A. McGuire; and 2 great grandchildren Augustus A. and Emma Rose Knickmeyer.
Funeral services for Pauline will be at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at St. John’s Episcopal Church with interment to follow in Maple Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Monday, January 14, 2013 in Greenlawn Funeral Home East.
