She passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Cox Medical Center in Branson. She was born on December 2, 1929 in Follett, TX, the daughter of Victor and Pauline (Appel) Riffel.
She Married the love of her life, Kenneth Lee Sullivan, on May 29, 1948 three days after they had met. They were together 70 years and she stood by his side and cared for him as his health declined in later years. She followed him moving numerous times from city to city as he followed his career in the oilfields. They moved to Alaska in 1966 where they spent 30 years before moving to Missouri. She loved living in Alaska and enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, fishing and clam digging.
She was a devoted and caring wife and mother of three children who always put her family first. She was a sweet, soft spoken woman who enjoyed being with family and looked forward to the weekly phone calls with her sisters.
She was tired and ready to move on, even though we didn’t want her to go. She is now in a better place and united with the ones she loved and once again walking side by side with the love of her life through eternity. There is a vacant spot in our hearts and at family gatherings as she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children: Vicki (Mike) Pierson of Branson, MO. and Kenny (Cherie) Sullivan of Anchorage, AK., five grandchildren: Michael (Terri) Hannon of Anchorage, AK, Brandy Hannon (Daniel) McNabb of Holcomb, MO, Charlene Sullivan of San Antonio, TX, Clayton Sullivan of San Antonio, TX, and Justin Adams of Anchorage, AK, seven great grandchildren, two sisters: Darlene Campbell of Hendersonville, TN, and Glenda (Bud) Williams of Burleson, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 70 years, Kenneth Sullivan, her daughter, Sharon (Sullivan) Hannon, her grandson, Scott Pierson, her great granddaughter, Adriana (Sullivan) Pohl and her sister, Beatrice Grice.
