Peggy Lou Cockrum, 74, Springfield, departed this life on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 in St. Johns Hospital. She was born September 15, 1936 to Buddie and Lena Faught. Peggy was loved dearly and will be missed terribly by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Terry.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Cockrum; daughter and son-in-law, Tammie and Mike Hammond; grandchildren, Amanda, Cody and Victoria Hammond, who were the light of her life; her sister, Roxie Sneed; and a host of extended family and friends.
Her family would like to thank her niece, Lee Ann Durbin for going above and beyond to support the family during their time of loss.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 1:00 p.m., in Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Online condolences can be made at www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com.
