Peggy Ivon Hunt, 76, of Springfield, Mo, passed away April 30, 2011 in her home. Peggy was born on January 15, 1936 to Rubert Winton Peck & Iners J. Peck. She was united in marriage to Paul Hunt.
Peggy was a long time waitress at Aunt Martha’s pancake house. Peggy enjoyed playing bingo, card games, and playing slot machines with her lifelong, always winning, friend Betty. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her special canine friend Bucky.
Peggy is survived by 5 of her children, Pamela Jean Polacoff, Connie Lynn Hunt, both of Springfield, Missouri, Joleta Kay Prater, of Nixa, Patricia Garrett Wilkerson, of Aberdeen, North Carolina; a son Paul Wesley Hunt Jr., of Miller, Missouri; a sister, Susie Murray, of Inglewood, California; a brother, Ruben Peck, of Killeen, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a dear friend, Betty Stienert; and many more friends.
Peggy is preceded in death by her husband Paul Hunt, her parents, Rubert & Iners Peck; a daughter, Sherri Jo Garrett, and 3 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at Greenlawn Funeral Home North on Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2011. Online condolences can be made at www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com.
