Peggy Jane King age 77 of Reeds Spring, Missouri passed away peacefully with family by her side on December 21, 2025 in Branson, Missouri.
She was born on February 19,1948 in Chappell, Nebraska the daughter of Clyde “Bud” and Shirley Mann Empson. She had been a secretary at the time of her retirement. She moved to Branson in 1979 and moved to Branson West in 1996. She was united in marriage to Stacey King in 1996. Peggy enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, decorating, watching her grandchildren play sports and enjoyed fishing and most of all, loved her family.
She is survived by her husband, Stacey King of the home. Her daughter, Janelle Miller and husband Skip of Branson, Missouri. Three grandchildren, Zeb Miller and wife Madelyn, Langley Miller and Wit Miller and two great grandchildren, Andy Miller and Lyla Miller. Three sisters-in law, two brothers-in-law, six nieces and two nephews.
Peggy was preceded by her parents, her first husband, Michael Ray Kiewit, a sister, Nancy Phelps, a brother, Stephen Empson, and son Michael “Mikey” Kiewit.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 30, 2025 with a visitation at 1:00 PM at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson with Chaplain David Atkins officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan’s Purse in her memory.
