Percy Stanton Phillips, age 84, of Willard, Mo., passed away Friday, April 29, 2011 in Cox South. He was born September 26, 1926, in Frewsburg, N.Y., to Percy and Ida Phillips Sr. He was a member of the Hillside Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Percy was preceded in death by his parents and by son, Paul S. Phillips.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Wilma Phillips; three sons, Chris I. Phillips, of Atlanta, Ga., Terry S. Phillips and his wife Susan, of Lake Jackson, Texas, and Tim J. Phillips and his wife Sheryl, of Willard, Mo.; and a sister, Gladys A. Woods and husband Bud, of Waxhaw, N.C.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, in Hillside Baptist Church. Visitation will be Wednesday evening, from 6 to 8 p.m., in the church. Burial will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hillside Baptist Church or Baptist Bible College.
