Perry D Mitchell, 85 passed away on September 29, 2011. Perry was born on August 1, 1926 to Tollie and Anna Mitchell. He was a WWII Army Veteran and a longtime member of High Street Baptist Church.
Perry is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Dorothy Nadine and sister Bertie Stoops; children Dorothy Stewart and husband Phil, Louise Fels and husband Greg, Terry Mitchell and wife Paula, Jerry Mitchell and wife Melinda; fifteen grandchildren & four great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
Perry was preceded in death by their infant son Gary, grandchild Gary, three brothers, Gene, Richard and Jess; two sisters, Mildred Mitchell and Bessy Young.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 3, 2011 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, with burial to follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, October 2, 2011 in the funeral home.
