Phillip Brandt Miller 59, Springfield, MO. passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022, in his home. Phillip was born in Springfield, MO. on September 13, 1962, to William and Wilma (Whitman) Miller. He was a 1980 graduate of Willard High School. He was a school bus driver and a member of National Heights Baptist Church and Hillside Baptist Church. He loved his work with the Boy Scouts of America and received awards from the Cub Scouts. Phillip enjoyed sports of any kind, but was especially fond of football mainly the Kansas City Chiefs and in baseball, the St. Louis Cardinals, he also enjoyed driving his bus, and cars, especially older models.
Phillip was preceded in death by his father, William Donald Miller, his maternal grandparents: Helen Virginia and Homer Emerson Whitman, his paternal grandparents: Earl and Bertha Miller, his aunt, Gratalee Miller and uncles Earl Miller and Leonard Miller. He is survived by his wife, Dawn Michelle (Northcutt) Miller, they were married in Springfield, MO. on October 18, 2003. He is also survived by his mother, Wilma Jean Miller his daughters: Kasidee Lynn Miller and Jena Michelle Bassett, both of Independence, MO, his nieces and nephews: Christopher Northcutt, Andrew Northcutt, Jacob Northcutt, Abigail Northcutt, Nathaniel Northcutt, Macie Northcutt, Kali Northcutt, Parker Northcutt, Evelyn Warner, Brennan Warner, and Benny Don Miller, his cousin, Tammy Decker, and his close friends: Thom and Kathy Sleeth, Greg and Judy Raines, Robert and Robyn Jones, and Teresa Davison.
The family of Phillip Miller would like to thank all who were friends to him. Your expressions of sympathy, do not go unnoticed. Thank you for loving our family, through some of our worst times.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Visitation will be two hours before services, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. According to his wishes, no burial is planned, after cremation.
