Phyllis Garrison, 80, of Springfield, born May 31, 1935 to Vester and Opal (Hays) Henry passed away in her home with her loved ones by her side, when she took the hand of Jesus to enter her heavenly home March 10, 2016 after a brief battle with cancer. She was united in marriage to Bobby Garrison December 1, 1956.
Phyllis enjoyed being with family and friends, fishing, gambling, cooking, baking, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She always told us when we would get in her car to “watch-out, I brake for garage sales – so hang on!” and we remember her telling us “I don’t back-track”.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents: Vester and Opal, husband Bobby, sister Trish, and daughter Diana.
She is survived by her sister Betty BeVier, Weatherford, TX; five children: Sons Steve, Chris and Greg; daughter Pam and husband Randy Williams; daughter Missy and husband Kelly St.Michel; multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren plus a host of family, friends and loved ones.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North with services at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2016 with interment following in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
