Ralph Brightwell, 69, of Brighton, passed away on April 9th, 2014 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Mo. Ralph was born on February 8th, 1945 in Booneville Mo. He was raised in Rocheport, Mo. Ralph is survived by his wife of nearly 20 years Mary Lu Brightwell (Kempter), her children Angela Hall, Cynthia Burnett, Rick Ellison and his wife Gretchen Ellison, John Adamik and his wife Tonya Adamik, and their grandchildren Shaun Hall, Miranda Nicholson, Nicole Norman, Rebecca Burnett, Samantha Ellison, Cassie Ellison, Denton Ellison, Bailey Adamik, Trey Adamik, Haley Adamik, and his brothers Gene Brightwell and JR Swearingen, and his sister Bonnie Hinkle. Ralph was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Potter, his sister Gertie Purvis and his brother Donald Brightwell.
Ralph was hard-working his entire life. He had a passion for collecting guns and other collectible weapons. He was a good man, a caring husband and a proud grandfather. He will truly be missed.
A celebration of Ralph’s life will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 14, 2014 in Greenlawn North Funeral Home. Cremation services have been entrusted to Greenlawn North Funeral Home.
