Ralph “Dale” Wright, 83, Springfield, Mo. passed away Monday, January 28, 2019, in Cox Medical Center, Springfield, Mo. He was born in Dunnegan, Mo. on November 28, 1935, to Carl and Faye (Stovall) Wright. He was a retired mechanic for Ryder Truck Rental Company, a U.S. Army veteran and he attended True Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Dale loved life and enjoyed taking care of his family and was always available to help a friend.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Barbara Sue (Sprague) Wright, three children: Beth Gamble and her husband, Mark, Monty Wright and his wife Janet, and Steve Wright. Five grandchildren: Mike, Ashley, Jacob, Joshua, and Ethan, two great-grandchildren: Michelle and Daniel, and one brother: Rex Wayne Wright.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2019, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with burial to follow, in Schofield cemetery, in Polk county. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to True Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
