Ralph Henry Price, age 80, of Springfield was born May 29, 1930 and passed away Monday, October 25, 2010. He graduated from SMS (Springfield) in 1959. He was in the Air Force for four years, from 1950-54 (Quality Control). He was also employed as a Chemist for Syntex, from 1960-91.
He was married to Sondra Sims on February 17, 1976, in Highlandville (Mo.) Baptist Church. He was a Deacon at Verona Baptist Church and a Sunday school superintendent. He was also a Sunday school teacher and church secretary. He enjoyed golf, bowling, keeping track of the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs, as well as the rest of the teams.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Lisa; one brother, Ray; aunts, Olly, Oney, Bea, and Zelpha. He is survived by wife, Sondra; children, Greg Thompson and wife, Neda, Chris, Tammy Price, Lori and Carl Ochner, grandchildren, Amy Jones and husband Ben, Sam and wife Suzane, Zach Price and Kayla Price, Zak, Lyndon, Georgianna, Kenya, Keon; three great-grandchildren, Kadynce and Brody Jones and Ryann; siblings Ray Price and Margo, Jean and Bob Saunderlin, and Sara and Mary Saunderlin; brothers-in-law, Arthur Johnson, Dan Severance, Denver Looney, and Dan Stocker.
Funeral services will be Sunday, October 31, 2010, at 2 p.m., in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, Mo. Burial will follow at 4 p.m, in Spring River Cemetery, in Verona, Mo.
Visitation will be at 1 p.m., in the funeral home prior to the service.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to a charity of choice.
