It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ramona Faye Myers, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 5th, 2026. Ramona was born on November 13, 1947, in Texarkana, Arkansas. Ramona brought joy and warmth to everyone she encountered. She resided in Springfield, Missouri. Her earlier adult years were spent in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she and Mike raised their family. Throughout her lifetime, Ramona built a loving home filled with laughter and cherished memories.
Mike and Ramona were united in marriage on May 4, 1968, and to this union three children, Timothy, Mary Beth and Allison were born. They were blessed with seventeen grandchildren, Dannie, Deaven, Ashlyn, Kian, Noel, Naomi, Michaela and husband Donald, Dakota and wife Laci, Levi, Brady, Brighton, Rosalee, and three great grandchildren, Josiah, Lucy, and Emerson with two more on the way. Ramona, lovingly known as Nan, enjoyed many things. She loved time with
family, hosting family celebrations, and always kept an open door. Ramona had a great love for crafting and decorating and turned it into a business, which she and Mike enjoyed for many years, traveling and setting up at different shows across the states. She made many friendships during her crafting years. Ramona also enjoyed participating in Apples of Gold with her church in past years, and more recently enjoyed her weekly ladies’ bible study group.
Ramona was preceded in death by her parents, Ezra and Ramona Wood, her siblings, Karen, Ezra (Guy), and Brett Wood, her sisters and brothers in law, Eileen and Lloyd Cook and Rick and Cathy Carroll, son in law, Eric, adopted son, Mark Long, and dear friend Brannon Estis.
She is survived by her loving husband, Mike, siblings, Beth, Keith, Jettie and husband Robert, sister in law, A.J., children, Timothy and wife Amy, Mary Beth, and Allison, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, special niece, Kaley (Zaiden and Amaya), special nephews, John, Josh, and Ezra (David), special friends, Dee and Rick and Ms. Tedi and David.
A visitation will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield, Missouri, on June 9, 2026, from 6:00 – 8:00. A celebration of life will follow on June 10, 2026 at 3:00 p.m., followed by a graveyard service at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Ramona Faye Myers will forever be remembered for her unwavering love, her generous spirit, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. May she rest in peace.
