Randy Ray Maggard, age 27, of West Side Springfield, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at St. John’s Medical Center. He was born September 5, 1983, in Springfield, MO, to Harold (Junior) and Sandra (Vaughn) Pryor.
Randy liked to fish, but his passion was MMA fighting for Independent Fight Systems, where he was the title holder of 135 pounds.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Tom and Mary Vaughn; paternal grandmother Nola Maggard; uncle, Donald Maggard; and one sister, Crystalynn Maggard.
He is survived by his mother, Sandra Pryor and husband Keith, Springfield; father, Harold (Junior) Maggard and wife Lorena, Walnut Grove, MO; brothers and sisters, Taneha Hawkins of Republic, Anthony Maggard of Springfield, Dalton St. Clair of Republic, Karley and Kayla Wade of Hollister, MO, Jerrica Tracy and Rylea Ray of Walnut Grove, and Timothy Pryor of Republic; paternal grandfather, Harold Maggard of Springfield; and a host of friends and family.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, February 19, 2011, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield. Randy will take his last ride before being interred in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, MO.
The family would like to invite everyone to take this ride with Randy.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 P.M. on Friday, February 18, 2011 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Memorial contributions may be made to the Randy Maggard Memorial fund at Great Southern Bank.
