Ray Baldwin, 83, of Springfield, left this life to meet our Lord, Savior, and Creator on August 21, 2012.Ray was born to Harvey and Mary Baldwin on December 19, 1928 in Springfield, Missouri. Ray graduated from Springfield Senior High School. He retired in 1992 as Power Plant Superintendent. Ray Married Betty Waddell on April 18, 1947. He was a member of Woodland Heights Presbyterian Church, Gate of the Temple Masonic Lodge and SAMS travel club. He was preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Mary Baldwin; one brother, Edward L. Baldwin; and one sister Mildred McFarland. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Baldwin; three children, Virginia Ann Crayson, David Ray, Baldwin and wife Sandra Kay; and Michael Daniel Baldwin and fiancée Jennifer Ann Rule; one sister, Marjorie Esther Peabody and husband Allen; and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North , with Rev. Gregory Esselman and Rev. John Tranbarger officiating, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideons. Funeral services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
