Rebekah M. Roepke, age 86 of Springfield left her temporary earthly home to be in her eternal heavenly home on Saturday, October 11, 2014. Becky was born November 5, 1927 to Reverend E.J. and Mae Bruton in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She graduated from Bloomington Indiana High School and attended Indiana University and Central Bible College where she met her future husband, Ray. She was united in marriage to Ray Roepke on November 26, 1948 in Bloomington, Indiana. They lived together in Springfield, Missouri the entirety of their marriage.
Becky was a “people person” and demonstrated her love and hospitality for people by preparing many incredible meals. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and sought for their happiness and success for them and their families. In addition to being a good homemaker, Becky was employed by the Assemblies of God Credit Union for twenty five years plus and was involved in many church and school activities. She was a member of the Life 360 Calvary Temple Church. She and her husband Ray enjoyed church activities, traveling and sporting events.
In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by one sister Naomi Freeman and six brother’s Xeno, Paul, James, John, David and E.J.
She is survived by her husband Ray, sons Mark and wife Mical of Springfield, Missouri, Brad and wife Sherry of Strafford, Missouri and Kevin and his wife Nancy of Ridgedale, Missouri, 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a sister Mary Alice Smith of Monticello, Indiana, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 16 from 6 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17 both at Greenlawn Funeral Home, East.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are appreciated for Temporary Home, P.O. Box 86, Hollister, MO 65673, a shelter for homeless and needy teenagers, founded by Becky and Ray’s son, Kevin Roepke.
