Reiley Everett Osterhoudt
Born August 4, 2008
Passed Away May 16, 2020.
Reiley was onrie from day one. The nurses in labor and delivery handed him to me once they had him swaddled and within minutes, he had wiggled his arms and legs out of the blankets. I knew right then that he was going to be a fighter. He loved life, especially his family, friends, his bood (food), minions, mickey mouse, any Blake Shelton song, Chuck Berry’s, “Roll over Beethoven”, dancing or having his favorite books like Llama Llama or Pete the Cat read to him. He also loved spaghetti, Tato (Baked Potato) with lots of cheese and chicken strips, strawberry milkshakes, and Grandad Gillham’s whole made ice cream.
Reiley always had a smile on his face and when he was no longer able to express himself his voice, his eyes would sparkle and tell his story.
Reiley had a way of tugging at your heart strings and sucking you into his world. Everyone who met him would become our forever family whether they wanted to or not.
Reiley will forever be remembered as our “Smiley Reiley,” who fought so hard and finally won his battle when he was able to run through the heaven gates into Papa’s arms. There he was handed his 1st heavenly strawberry milkshake and Jesus said, see I told you we had milkshakes here.
Reiley is preceded in death by his Papa( Vernon Osterhoudt),Great Grandma Greta Rapson, his Great Grandparents Glenn and Gladys Gillham, his Great Grandpa James Cavanaugh Sr. He is survived by his parents Jason and Randi Osterhoudt, his big brother Alexander Osterhoudt, his little sister Caylee Osterhoudt. His Nana ( Regina Osterhoudt), Grandparents Dennis and Sharon Gillham. He also had many aunts, uncles, cousins, the Nixa Public Schools Staff, Medical Staff from Mery Hospital Springfield, Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Columbia.
