Rex H. Springer, age 74, of Springfield, MO, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Willard Care Center. He was born September 24, 1939, in Hurley, MO, to Ralph and Opal Springer. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Jay and Jerry Springer. Rex was a warehouse supervisor and cost estimator for the Jefferson Smurfit Company for many years. Rex also stocked shelves for McQueary Brother Drugs Company
He is survived by his daughter and her husband: Eyvalee and James Appleberry, a son and his wife: Steve and Theresa Springer, and a brother Joe Springer. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Jeremiah, Dakota and Sierra three step- grandchildren: Doug, Amanda and Lee, and nine great-grandchildren: Arthur, Austin, Jarrett, Jaden, Titan, Haley, Branden, Gavin, and Clay and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013 in Short Cemetery, Hurley, Mo. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday evening, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
