Richard “Rick” Wayne Rasmussen, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, left this world on August 10, 2026, at the age of 57. Born on August 29, 1968, in San Diego, California, to Kenneth and Sally (Nelson) Rasmussen. Rick lived a life marked by hard work, love, and laughter.

Rick dedicated many years of his life as a welder to the Stainless-steel manufacturing industry before retiring due to his accident. His talent and commitment earned him respect and admiration from his colleagues and friends.

Above all, Rick was a devoted family man, cherishing his wife, Mynde, their blended family which included: Micah Rasmussen (Tara), Courtney Harper (Mat), Tiffani Rasmussen, Spencer Rasmussen (Elena), and Blaine Rasmussen (Vanessa), Joshua Powell, and Kendall Essary (Tim), 11 grandchildren: Maddie, Brock, Bailey, Brett, Blakelyn, Brosnan, Daisy, Dahlia, Ridge, Beau, Nova, and one on the way; his parents Kenneth and Sally Rasmussen; brothers Bob Rasmussen (Diann), Roger Rasmussen (Stephanie), and David Rasmussen; and sisters Penny and Roxanna; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was a source of strength and love within his family, instilling values of hard work and kindness that will resonate in their lives forever.

To honor Rick’s life and the joy he brought to those around him, visitation will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Clear Creek Branch, on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A funeral service celebrating Rick’s life will take place the following day, Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 11:00 am, also at the church.
