Richard William Huse, 78, of Fair Play, Missouri, passed away on November 15, 2022. Rick was born on November 9, 1944, in Cambridge, Massachusetts to Robert Kelly and Constance D. (Messer) Cooper. Prior to graduating high school, Rick enlisted as a reservist in the United States Navy. He was a 1963 graduate of South River High School in South River, New Jersey. Following graduation, Rick left for basic training.

Rick served on the U.S.S. Mahan during the Vietnam War. During his time in the military Rick developed his skillset in computer engineering. Rick left the military in July 1970, to work as a computer engineer in the tech industry. He worked for Digital Equipment Corporation for over 20 years. Rick enjoyed his long career, eventually retiring from IBM in 2013.

Rick met Wanda Blanscet in February 1964 and they married April 30, 1964, in California. They were married for over 45 years and shared two children together, Amy Renee Huse- Mitchell and Angela K. Huse.

Rick is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wanda, and daughter, Amy. Rick is survived by his daughter, Angela Huse; brothers: Dave Huse, Bobby Huse, Danny Huse; sisters: Debbie Campbell and Heidi Perham; sister-in-law, Emily Blanscet; brother-in-law, Dwaine Blanscet; and numerous nieces, nephews, military brothers and friends.

A graveside service for Rick will be held on November 29, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Morrisville Cemetery in Morrisville, Missouri. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel in Bolivar, Missouri.
