Rickey Dean Goodwin, 61, of Springfield, passed away June 1, 2013, at his home. He was born May 20, 1952, in Springfield to Howard Lee and Patsy (Compton) Goodwin.
Rick was a retired laborer from the City of Springfield. He enjoyed watching sports and wrestling, bowling, playing softball and fishing. Rick was a Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Patsy; and a son, little Rick. Rick is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Lana (Fisher) Goodwin; three daughters, Beverly Foster and her husband, David Foster, Heather Goodwin, and Sally Goodwin-Smith and her husband, Christopher Smith; eleven grandchildren, Matthew and his wife, Autumn, Brendon, Nichole, Zachary, Samuel, Jovan, A.J., Laura, Madison, Dallas and Sophia; two great-grandchildren, Malachi and Aurora; a sister, Pamela Lloyd; an Aunt, Linda Alexander; and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2013, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 04, 2013, in the funeral home.
