age 82, of Urbana, MO, died Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Citizens Memorial Hospital. He was born January
20, 1931, in Pacific Junction, IA,
to Pearl and Angela (Minor) Hockabout.
He served in the U.S. United States Army during Korean War, also
served in the US Navy and National Guard, retiring from the military in 1976. He was united in marriage to Elaine Smith
July 1, 1977.
He was preceded in
death by his parents; and a son Randy Hockabout.
He is survived by his wife Elaine Hockabout of Urbana, MO; three
children: Pat Rongotes, Robert Hockabout, and John Hockabout all of Wilmington,
NC; two step-children: Patty Kenall of Urbana, MO, and Tim Head of Seville, FL;
several grand and great-grandchildren; three sisters: Barbara Kite of Bolivar,
MO, Helen Johnson of IA, and Claudine of Arizona; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
No funeral services are planned, private
memorial services will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Urbana Rural Fire Dep’t.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel Bolivar, MO.
