Robert “Bob” McCulley passed away Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012 following a lengthy illness. He was born June 29, 1936, in Hartville, MO; the son of Charlie and Vergie (Floyd) McCulley.
Bob traveled Missouri and northern Arkansas for most of his career selling auto parts early on, and later as an independent Insurance Agent. Bob’s outgoing personality, kind and gentle nature made him welcome in many homes and businesses he visited during his long career.
Bob and Brenda Jones (originally from Pleasant Hope, MO) were united in marriage in 1957 and lived in Mountain Grove, MO, for 52 years, where he also was a Cub Master for Cub Scout Pack 50. They recently moved to Nixa, MO, due to health reasons.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters; Mildred Ryan and Maxine Emery.
He is survived by his wife Brenda Jones McCulley of the home; son Wendell McCulley (Angie) of San Jose, CA; daughter Rhonda Rust (Scott) of Nixa, MO; one sister Irene Cope of Mountain Grove, MO; three granddaughters; Taylor Rust, Sophia, and Olivia McCulley, a 100 year old uncle by marriage, Lewis Jones of Nixa, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 29, 2012, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m., with Deacon Scott Rust officiating; pallbearers will be Bob’s nephews; Michael Cope, Steve Cope, Joe Aldridge, John Rader, Randy Emery, and Garry Emery, with burial immediately after at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donation to be made to Cub Scout Pack 50 in Mountain Grove, MO c/o Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
