Robert H Reece passed peacefully from this life on October 26, 2013, to his new home, eternal in the heavens, with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Robert was born October 30, 1928 to Henry Hobson Reece and Josephine Hall Reece, the fourth of their five children and their only son, in their home on North Broadway in Springfield. Robert met his future wife, Aunita Hood, at First Baptist
Church in Vinita, Oklahoma and they were married there on September 19, 1947.
Aunita passed away on November 1, 2012
in Jefferson City shortly after she and
Robert celebrated 65 years of marriage.
Robert and Aunita raised two sons, Doug
(wife Valerie), of Jefferson City, and
Richard, of Tacoma, Washington.
Robert had a beautiful baritone singing voice and served as choir director for
several area churches, including Broadway
Baptist, Boulevard Baptist, and Hamlin
Memorial Baptist Church. He was also a
skilled salesman, a gifted woodworker &
upholsterer, and a talented gardener.

restoring things rather than discarding
them.
