Robert L. Snow passed from this life to the next on September 21, 2025, at age 84. Known by most as Bob, his given name was Bobby Lee. Bob lived most of his adult life in Springfield, but he died in Strafford just a few miles down the road from the family farm of his youth. He was laid to rest at Danforth Cemetery in Strafford near the location of the old Okino Dairy, where his parents worked in the early years of his life. Bob was born very prematurely and had a twin brother that did not survive birth. His eulogy acknowledged his lifetime gratitude to Jei Okino, a man of Japanese descent who operated the Okino Dairy, for his kind support of the family during Bob’s first 40 days of life in a Springfield hospital in the year 1941.
Bob was a gregarious person who never met a stranger. It seemed that everywhere he went he was either encountering old friends or acquaintances or making new ones. He will be missed by many.
Bob was preceded in death by his twin brother Billy Joe, parents Sam and Verba, sister Shirley, and brothers Cecil and John. Bob is survived by his three sons, Kyle (Columbus, Ohio), Kelly (Hartville, Missouri), and Kendall (Portland, Oregon), and their spouses, six grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
