Robert Lee (Bob) Taylor was born August 24, 1939 in Springfield MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Athelene Taylor Snider. He is survived by his wife, Gloria, daughter Elizabeth Chainey and her husband Jody and their three sons’ Caleb, Lucas and Nathan, his step-daughter Angie Long and her family, step-son Garrell Herndon and step-daughter Gerise Herndon.
Bob served in the Army in the late 50s and early 60s in different locations including California and Alaska. After his discharge, he worked for Frisco RR as a lineman; then at LeDuc Packing Co as a bookkeeper and later a custodian at the South National/East Sunshine Church of Christ where he was a member. He taught classes and preached on occasion, and also led an alcohol and drug abuse support group called Victory in Christ. He volunteered at Cox South delivering flowers for several years.
Bob was an avid fan and had a wealth of knowledge about St. Louis Cardinals and the Lady Bears. He loved to travel especially to the mountains. He loved his pets. He will be remembered for many things including his sence of humor.

Funeral services in East Sunshine Church of Christ 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 17, 2012 and visitation in Greenlawn Funeral Home East Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M.
