Robert Thomas Voris, affectionately known as Bob, age 82, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026. He was born on September 25, 1943, in Akron, Ohio, to the late Ernest and Elizabeth Voris. Bob attended Central High School in Springfield, Missouri, before majoring in Mathematics at Missouri State University, formerly known as Southwest Missouri State University.

Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Katy, whom he married on April 17th 1965, in Ozark, Missouri. This began many adventure-filled years together as they often boasted of moving nineteen times throughout the course of their marriage. He also leaves behind his loving children, Lori (Kelly) Ernce and Chris (Lesly) Voris, and his grandchildren, Alexa Ernce, Kara Voris and Ryan Voris. He will also be missed by his brothers Ernie (Twila) Voris and Mart (Gabi) Voris.

Bob was a car enthusiast, having owned nearly 100 cars over his lifetime. He turned his passion into a career and proudly enjoyed over 28 years of working for Ford Motor Company in Sandusky, Ohio, Milan, Michigan, Saline, Michigan, and Tulsa, Oklahoma. For many years, Bob and Katy had enjoyed vacationing on Lake of the Ozarks, and upon retirement bought their lake home in Camdenton, Missouri, where they enjoyed life to the fullest for twenty-six years. Bob’s retirement motto was, “Life doesn’t get any better than this.”

Bob loved to tinker with his boats and cars and became renowned for his carefully crafted and seasoned beef jerky. He was immensely talented, artistic and meticulous, and never encountered a project he couldn’t build, repair or enhance. He had a work ethic and commitment to excellence that he passed onto his children and grandchildren, and that inspired both his colleagues and his friends. With his Burt Reynolds’ good looks and charm, Bob never met a stranger and could fill every conversation with hours of his stories and tales of days gone by. Bob enjoyed hot sauces and spicy peppers and loved to innocently share a pepper with an unsuspecting friend and chuckle as their eyes teared and mouth was set ablaze. He was ever the jokester and prankster.

Bob’s approach to life is a reminder to treat life as an adventure, pursue your passions and relish each day. He was a stellar example of a life well-lived. His charisma will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Bob was an animal lover who adopted many pets over the years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Dogwood Animal Shelter in Osage Beach, Missouri. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Camdenton, Missouri.
