Roberta June Skidmore 85, Springfield, Mo. passed away Monday, July 8, 2019, at Maranatha Manor, after a short illness. She was born in Springfield, Mo. on November 25, 1933, to John Breeden Skidmore and Mary Elizabeth (Belle) Skidmore. She was a retired account specialist for Lily Tulip Company. She was active in the Women in Business Organization in Springfield. In her spare time, she was an avid reader, and could often be seen with a book in hand. She was a longtime member of Boulevard Baptist Church, and had recently attended the last 6 years at National Heights Baptist Church.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her cousins: Joel and Carolyn Skidmore, Joe and Karen Gullett, Kenneth and Margaret Skidmore and Ruth and Mike Lane, plus numerous other cousins and friends.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2019, in Grenlawn Memorial Gardens. No viewing or visitation is planned.
