Mr. Rodney King, age 16 of Bolivar, MO passed away March 12, 2011 in Bolivar, MO. He was born in Harrison, Arkansas on October 13, 1994 to Rodney N. and Patricia (Hardesty) King.
Rodney was a sophomore at Bolivar High School, where he loved to participate in the weights and woodworking classes. In his leisure time he enjoyed boxing with friends and listening to hard rock music.
He was preceded in death by his dad Rodney Norman King; grandfather Pat Hardesty and step grandfather Larry Farmer.
Rodney is survived by his mom Patricia King of Newport, AR; one sister Stefanie King and her fiancé Junior Machabee of Brighton, MO; a nephew Skylar Bud Machabee of Brighton, MO; his maternal grandmother Norma Hardesty of the home; his maternal great grandmother Agnes Salmon of Brighton, MO; his paternal grandmother Loretta Farmer of Bergman, AR; paternal grandfather Morris King of St. Joe, AR; aunts April King of Harrison, AR; Nina Bass of Springfield, MO; uncles Mike Cooper of Bergman, AR; Morris King, Jr. of Bergman, AR; Norman Hardesty of Licking, MO; a good friend Dale Ferris of the home; and many cousins, family and friends.
An open visitation will be Wednesday, March 16, 2011 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Pitts Chapel. Visitation will also be held Friday, March 18, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Coffman Funeral Home, 501 Old Bellefonte Rd., Harrison, Arkansas. Graveside services will be Saturday, March 19, 10:00 a.m. at Maple Leaf Cemetery in Harrison. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home in memory of Rodney.
