It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roger Kopp, a cherished husband, father, and friend who left us on January 16th, 2024. He lived a life rich in love, filled with a passion for family, the great outdoors, and the companionship of dogs. Born on March 27th, 1957, Roger embraced every moment of his journey with a

Your came into my life after I lost my parents and sparked the love of nature again. Because of you Peter and I are camping and do more together. I miss your phone calls.
Mark Pon left a message on February 3, 2024:
It’s still difficult to believe that he is gone. Roger had an insatiable energy and passion for life, which I wish I had even a fraction of. He was bigger than life, with a heart almost as big. He left where he walked a better place, and we could all learn something from that.

John Fagerlin left a message on January 28, 2024:
He was my brother from another mother. We grew up together and remained friends/brothers for almost 60 years. If I wasn't at his house, he was at mine. He will always hold a special place in my heart where wheee he will always be loved. When I moved to a different country we still remained in constant contact. I will miss his friendship, love and the wicked sense of humor we have always enjoyed. Enjoy your peace my brother, my friend.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

We are so sorry for your loss. Roger was a really special guy. We had the pleasure of meeting him at Boy Scouts. He was a kind, patient and very understanding man. He will be missed

Roger will be remembered for many things, but mostly for the beautiful force of his spirit and love. May his incredible life be a reminder to us all that one person can make a difference. It was a true honor knowing and working with him. I will miss him and his wonderful stories of his retirement travels, fishing stories, his family, and his adventures with Mary and his fur babies. He will truly be missed. My deepest sympathy to you and the entire family during this painful time. I pray that your treasured memories will help comfort you.
Jeff Winter left a message on January 26, 2024:
Jen, You did a grand job on your Dad’s obituary. You could have written many pages and still not captured his complete spirit and essence. One attribute I’ll always admire is he was able to laugh at himself and wasn’t afraid to put himself out there for ridicule if he thought he was right, which he often was. I keep expecting the phone to ring and his voice to come on waking me from this ghastly dream. My comfort is in the wise choices he made in retiring early to travel the country, returning to Missouri and continuing to enjoy life. He was a good man, I was glad to have known him and call him friend.

I only remember meeting Roger in person at the Persons reunion in 2022 in Eagle Bend. He was great fun with his extensive genealogical information.
Ann Hilmo left a message on January 23, 2024:
I too was in water aerobics with Roger. I enjoyed our talks. He lived life to the fullest up until close to the surgery. I know he was looking forward to the surgery because he knew he had no future without it. I knew how dangerous it was but was still upset to hear of his passing. My condolences to the family.
Bob Hartman left a message on January 23, 2024:
Roger and I were in a Water Aerobics class together, he will be missed by all of us. Roger also came to the airport when I returned on the Honor Flight which I appreciated. God bless you and the family.
Joan Molozaiy (Brigman) left a message on January 23, 2024:
Our families were very close for many years. Roger’s mother Melba and our mother were lifelong friends since girlhood. We grew up with the Kopp boys. I am sorry that the last of them has left us. God be with you and comfort you in this time of loss.
