Ronald C. Akin, 79, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. He was born September 14, 1938 in Springfield, MO to Kendrick and Bernice Akin. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Barbara Elliott. Ron is survived by his companion of 18 years, Sherry Mallory, his two daughters; Rhonda Cole (Terry) and Julie Gann (Wayne). He is PaPa to his three grandchildren; Casey Gann, T.J. Cole (Jessica), and Josh Cole, two great-grandchildren; Ryker and Brynn, one brother; Ted Akin (Eva), two sisters; Patsy (Richard) and Peggy, and many nieces and nephews. Ron loved fishing and motorcycles. There will be a memorial visitation on Sunday, July 29, 2018, 4:00-6:00pm, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. There are no services.
