Dale Davis, 84, passed away on January 21, 2026. He was born on April 5, 1941, to Manes and Lucille Davis.
On June 21, 1962, Dale married the love of his life, Blanche Rowden. Together they shared 62 years of marriage and raised two children, Larry and Ronda Davis. Blanche preceded him in death in 2024, and Dale missed her dearly every day thereafter.
Dale believed the best life was a simple life, and he lived that belief fully. Some of his family’s fondest memories were made camping together at Nemo’s Landing, surrounded by laughter, stories, and the outdoors he loved so much. He spent 52 treasured years hunting alongside his son, a tradition that meant the world to him. He also enjoyed fishing and starting every morning his own special way, with chocolate cake and a Coke.
Dale was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Blanche Davis; his parents, Manes and Lucille Davis; his brothers, Gene and Tom Davis, and their wives; his sisters, Georgie and Esta Lee, and their husbands; and Blanche’s eleven brothers and sisters, whom Dale loved as if they were his own.
He is survived by his son, Larry Davis, and his special daughter-in-law, Nancy; his daughter, Ronda Davis; his grandchildren, Andrea Brower and her husband Justin, Zach Davis and his wife Ashton, and Blake Davis and his wife Madeliene; and his great-grandchildren, Ely Brower, Ava Brower, Weston Dale Davis, and Loretta Davis. He is also survived by his two beloved dogs, Sammy and Rylee, along with a host of nieces and nephews. Dale was deeply loved by both the Davis and Rowden families.
Visitation will be held on January 26 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, January 27 at 2:00 p.m.
Dale will be remembered for his quiet strength, his devotion to family, and his appreciation for life’s simple joys. In his honor, the family asks that those attending his service wear jeans and boots, just the way Dale would have liked it.
