Ronald Dean Pritchert, age 78, of Springfield, MO, passed away Friday, April 8, 2011 in his home. He was born June 4, 1932, in Sandwich, Il., to Gilbert and Pearl (Nielson) Pritchert.
He was a member of the local Teamsters’ Union, served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict and retired from Associated Grocers after thirteen years of service.
Ronald enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles, flying his plane, watching Tony Stewart win in NASCAR, and loved spending time with his four-legged friend, Kipper.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Pearl Pritchert; a daughter, Patricia McKnight; and two brothers, Larry and Russ Pritchert.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Loretta Pritchert of Springfield; two sons Bruce Pritchert and Rebecca, Springfield, MO, and Keith Pritchert of Springfield; son-in-law, Bob McKnight of Springfield; twelve grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one brother, Grant Pritchert of Pheonix, AZ.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 13, 2011 in Greenlawn North Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO.
