Ronald Francis Lemon, 72 , of Fair Grove, MO, took his final flight Heaven bound April 30, 2011. He was born Oct. 31, 1938, in Natick, MA, son of the late Francis Lemon and Marjorie Palmer Lemon. On Nov. 1, 1969, Ron was united in marriage to Beverly Parker Lemon at Van Cleve, MO.
Ron began an aviation career at age 17 when he joined the Air National Guard at Boston’s Logan Airport. He went to work for Continental Airlines in 1962 as a flight engineer and retired as Captain in 1999. Ron was very creative and loved working on his farm, and building things with his hands and working with his backhoe.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Beverly Parker Lemon; his son Eric Lemon and daughter-in-law Chanda of Fair Grove, MO; his daughter, Nancy Trowsdale and son-in-law, Robert from Tilton, New Hampshire; grandchildren, Allison Mae Trowsdale, Thomas Trowsdale, William Trowsdale, Holly Lemon, Audrey Lemon; brother, Gerald Lemon and wife, Janine of Strafford, MO; and other loving family and friends.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, at Mt. Comfort Bible Church, Springfield, MO, officiated by Rev. Tom Dykes. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7 PM on Wednesday, May 4, at Greenlawn North Funeral Home.
