Ronald Jay Pressler, born July 31, 1946, to J.D. and Mildred Pressler in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
He served in the US Air Force after graduating from high school.
He and his wife Linda were married on January 16, 1971. After working for the United States Postal Service they moved to Indianapolis. They had one daughter, Cheryl Lynn. In 1977, the family moved to Springfield, where Ron retired from the USPS in 2002.
After retiring, Ron and Linda bought a motorhome so they could spend the winters in south Texas.
Ron loved remote control cars, especially his Volkswagen bug. He was a movie fan and loved watching the same stash of DVD’s over and over.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; his daughter Cheryl; grandchildren Maddux and Oakleigh Simkins; brother John of St. George, Utah; brothers-in-law Dan and Larry Hunt, and many nephews and nieces.
His final resting place will be at the MO Veterans Cemetery.
