Ronald Lee Boyd, 74, of Buffalo, Missouri, passed away on September 19, 2026, at High Noon. Born on March 11, 1952, in Joplin, Missouri, Ronald was the son of Roy and Betty (Gordon) Boyd, who precede him in death. He lived a life defined by craftsmanship, devotion to family, and a deep love for the outdoors.

A master auto upholsterer, Ronald owned and operated Queen City Auto Trim for more than 30 years. His hands shaped countless award‑winning show car interiors, each one a testament to his skill, patience, and pride in his work. He built a reputation not only for excellence, but for honesty, loyalty, and the kind of dedication that made his shop a trusted name for decades.

Ronald’s greatest joy came from being a father. His boys grew up rodeoing, and he loved every mile traveled, every arena visited, and every moment spent coaching them. He cherished the chuckwagon races, where the excitement of the sport matched the excitement, he felt watching his friend’s race. Among his chuckwagon racing family, he was affectionately known as Capt’n Ron, a name that captured his spirit, humor, and the camaraderie he shared with so many.

Ronald loved an active, hands‑on life filled with the things that brought him joy. He was a devoted supporter of his grandchildren’s sports activities and their hobbies, cheering them on proudly at every event and celebrating every accomplishment. Beyond sports, he enjoyed kayaking and camping along the river, finding peace in the quiet flow of the water and the simplicity of nature. The farm life suited him perfectly — tending to his cows, working the land, and embracing the steady rhythm of rural living.

To many children in his extended family, Ronald was lovingly known as Papa Ron — a steady, warm presence who made every child feel seen, safe, and loved. He shared a special bond with his daughters‑in‑law, Jessica and April, loving them as his own and appreciating the joy and strength they brought into his life. Ronald loved his grandchildren wholeheartedly, each one holding a treasured place in his heart. Ron had many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and many other family members near and dear to his heart.

Ronald also had a relationship with his Lord and Savior, a faith that guided him throughout his life. He was baptized by his friend and pastor, Larry Keeth, a moment that held great meaning for him and reflected the sincerity of his belief.

Ronald is survived by his sons Justin (Jessica) and Josh (April), along with his grandchildren Gage, Krayton, Kanton, Skyler, Shaylynn, and his bonus grandson Keanu. His legacy lives on in the family he loved fiercely and the countless lives touched by his craftsmanship, his generosity, and his unwavering spirit.

Ronald Lee Boyd will be remembered for his steady hands, his generous heart, his faith, and the life he built through hard work, love, and devotion.

A visitation will take place on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Greenlawn Funeral Home, North from 12:00-2:00 pm with a memorial service beginning at 2:00 pm also in the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to come together to remember a life well lived.
