Ronald L. Holden, age 78, passed away on August 7, 2013, in Springfield, MO. Ronald was a member of First Baptist Church in Springfield, and he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He is preceded in death by his former wife of 59 years, Norma Faye Holden. Ron is survived by his current wife, Mildred Hayter-Holden, his son, Ronald B. Holden and his wife Sandy and his daughter, Lauren L. Nichols and her husband Kevin, his step-children, Donna Miles and her husband Randy and Debbie Goodwin and her husband Charles, five grandchildren, Alison Faris, Andy Squibb, Patrick Holden, Joseph Squibb and Andrew Holden, 17 great-grandchildren, four brother’s and three sister-in-laws. Funeral services will be on Monday, August 12, 2013, at 11:00 am, in Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 11, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the Salvation Army or to the ALS Foundation.
