With heavy hearts, we celebrate the life of Ronnie D. Hamilton, who was born on March 5, 1962, in Springfield, Missouri. Ronnie, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, departed this life on July 15, 2025, at the age of 63, leaving a legacy of love, camaraderie, and passion for his community.
A proud graduate of Parkview High School, Ronnie exemplified dedication and service throughout his life. He served his country honorably in the United States Army from June 2, 1980, until December 5, 1983, achieving the rank of Private First Class. His commitment to service continued in his career with Greene County Road and Bridge as the Work Release Foreman for the Greene County Jail, where he earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues and the community.
Ronnie was deeply engaged in his community, contributing his time and talents as an active member of the Shrine, Scottish Rite, and Masonic Lodge. He was a passionate fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the St. Louis Cardinals, showing his love for sports with enthusiasm and joy. A talented musician and skilled photographer, Ronnie found happiness in sharing his artistic passions with friends and family. He cherished moments spent hunting and fishing, often surrounded by those he loved.
He is survived by his loving mother, Dorothy Hamilton, and his dear sisters, Bonnie (Hamilton) Corkren, and husband Randy, Sharon (Hamilton) Corkren, and brother-in-law Scott, nephews Joshua Corkren, Nicholas Corkren, and wife Samantha, and Chandler Corkren, niece Lindsey (Corkren) Marshall, and wife Rachel, as well as great-nephews Trace Corkren, and Brevin Marshall, and great-nieces Peyton Corkren and Vivienne Corkren, who will carry his memory in their hearts forever. Family and friends will gather to honor Ronald’s life on July 25, 2025, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. The family will receive friends from 12 PM to 1 PM, with services from 1 PM to 2 PM in the funeral home. Ronnie will be laid to rest at Wesley Chapel Cemetery with full military honors.
