It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rosario Leonardo Sgroi, fondly known as Ross, on December 15, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on September 19, 1938, in Canastota, NY, Ross grew to become a talented computer programmer, leaving behind a legacy of innovation and dedication in the field.

Ross was more than just a programmer; he was a loving father to his daughter, Anita Cotter, and an adoring grandfather to his four grandchildren, Jeanne Sgroi,Kelly Baker, Annice Fisher and Kayla Cotter. As well as two great-grandchildren, Bentley Hunt and Liam Hunt. His family will remember him for his dry sense of humor that could always spark a laugh or lighten a moment. Whether he was sharing a witty remark or a playful jab, his unique perspective on life brought joy to those around him.

Ross was preceded in death by: His Father Leonard Sgori, Mother Vinchenza Sgori and his loving Wife June Sgroi (Coe).

A graveside service will be held to honor Ross’s life and contributions, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens on December 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate the life of this remarkable man.

As we say goodbye, we cherish the memories we have with Ross and take comfort in the love he shared with us all. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
