Roy Dennis Buckner Sr. 70, Seymour, MO. passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021, in his home. Roy was born in Springfield, MO. on July 24, 1950, to Harold Wallace and Ruth (Massey) Buckner. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marines, serving in the Vietnam war, for 15 months. He was a truck driver, retiring from Roadway Express after many years of service. Roy loved his family, motorcycles, his dog Bodi and the Marine Corp.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, his second wife, Mona Lynn Marie Buckner, and his son, Daniel Lee Buckner and one brother, Harold Eugene Buckner. Roy is survived by his wife, Cheryl, two daughters: Casey Hughey (Shawn) Michelle Graves (Christopher), five sons: Roy Buckner Jr., Raymond Douglas Buckner (Amanda), David Buckner, Kevin Moeschler Jr. (Amanda Masterson), and Jammer Moeschler (Emily), his brother: Larry Dean Buckner (Debra), twenty grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2021, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
