Roy E. Dickens, age 82, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on October 15, 2021. He was born on March 26, 1939, in Springfield.
He began a wonderful 59 year marriage on April 9, 1962, to Josephine Dickens. During this time, he also served for 6 years in the U.S. Army from January 25, 1962 to January 24, 1968. After his time of service, he worked for Zenith (25 years), Pony Express (10 years), and Loomis Fargo (8 years).
He enjoyed fishing, golfing, spending times with his wife, grandkids, and great grandkids, traveling, camping, playing cards, and shopping. His favorite was eating a “steak dinner”!
There will be a full military service honoring the life of Roy on Wednesday, October 27, at 2:00 pm. The family ask that those who attend wear Kansas City Chiefs attire or red casual.
