Roy Joseph Broussard, age 74, of Springfield, MO, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Springfield Skilled Care. He was born August 21, 1941, in New Iberia, LA, to A. Joseph and Jean (Hebert) Broussard. Roy loved to fish especially Crab Fishing, he enjoyed working on model ships, and watching P.B.S. His greatest love was spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, A. Jospeh and Jean Broussard and two sisters, Theresa Penn and Doris Meche’. He is survived by six nieces and nephews,Roxie Garton and husband Dan, Springfield, Lydia Mitchell and husband Jim, Springfield, William Penn and wife Kay, Spirit Lake, IA, Don Penn and wife Ann, Elkland, Ron Penn and wife Janice, Springfield, Timothy Penn and wife Janet, Sedan, KS; and a host of family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery, Elkland, MO at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Springfield Sheltered Workshop . Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO. The family would like to thank Good Shepherd Hospice for Roy’s care.
