Ruby Faye McKnight, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2024, at Mercy Hospital Springfield, MO. Born on July 23, 1956, in Clintwood, VA, Ruby touched the lives of many with her kindness and compassion.

Ruby dedicated her life to caring for others, serving as an Assistant Housekeeping Director in the nursing home industry. Her work ethic and dedication were admired by all who knew her. Despite facing challenges in her education, Ruby’s determination and hard work shone through in all aspects of her life.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Fred “Bill” McKnight of the home; daughter Tammy McKnight and companion Steve Barker of Bolivar, MO; son Timothy Hamon and wife Patricia of Marion, VA, a son Richard Carey of Pleasant Hope, MO; three granddaughters: Kayla Hamon, Kara Hamon, and Kassandra McKnight; brothers: Bill Knoskie of McClure, VA, and Bob Knoskie and wife Donna of Stratton, VA; sister Marie D. Knoskie of McClure, VA; a sister-in-law Beverly McKnight of Green Forest, AR; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services to celebrate Ruby’s life will be held on a future date. The ceremony will be a time to remember and honor the legacy of a woman who brought light and love to all those around her. Ruby will forever be remembered for her warm smile, generous heart, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends. May her soul find peace in the loving embrace of the divine.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Effie (Hill) Knoskie; a sister Edna May Knoskie; and a brother Connie Knoskie.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel Bolivar, MO.
